Chromatography & Instruments Company (CIC) is a 31 years old company headed by two Technocrats - Dr.M.K.Shingari & Dr.(Mrs.) Kiran Shingari. The CIC set up consists of

- Manufacturing Unit
- Research & Development Center
- Chromatography Training Institute

After the testing of the Nuclear Device by India in the year 1998, the USA & the European union imposed trade sanctions against India. The Indian Nuclear Industries, Defense Establishments & several Research Laboratories and manufacturing units were not able to procure Elemental Determinators due to the sanctions. To provide service to the Indian industry the Elemental Analyser Division of CIC was established in the year 2000. 

The Research & Development (R&D) Center of CIC, which is approved by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, developed various types of inorganic elemental analysers/determinators like H, O, N & Xenon & Krypton Determinators. The first Determinator (for Hydrogen) was manufactured & supplied to BARC, Tarapur after fully evaluating and perfecting it at our R&D center with the complete help, co-operation and guidance from the highly skilled scientists and metallurgists of BARC, Tarapur & Mumbai. 

The second Determinator (for Oxygen-Nitrogen) was again perfected with the help of scientists from BARC, Mumbai & IGCAR, Kalpakkam. This determinator was supplied to BARC, Tarapur and after evaluating its performance it was also supplied to IGCAR, Kalpakkam as a repeat order. 
 

The third Determinator (for Xenon-Krypton) was manufactured and supplied to BARC, Mumbai. This determinator incorporates a special trap that operates at -70°C and then at 350°C in a matter of 3 minutes to trap and then release the Krypton & Xenon gases. 

The Elemental Determinators/Analysers are manufactured by the Elemental Analyser Division of Chromatography & Instruments Company (CIC) in independent premises.

CIC is an APPROVED VENDOR of On-line Gas Chromatograph to the Nuclear Power Corporation of India. CIC also undertakes design of CUSTOM MADE On Line GC for various applications.  An On Line GC has been designed to analyse Deuterium, Oxygen & Nitrogen in moist Helium in Nuclear Power Reactor.
